Jacinta’s father could be dead as most people believed. She thinks he     
is still alive. In her search for her father she learns what his research
is really all about. She learns abut the existence of another universe.
She learns about the terrible threat to both the world she knows and
the parallel world that she never dreamed existed. In the midst of
this two of her friends disappear.

If Jacinta and her friends can find the missing girls perhaps they
might also find her father. Then they might get some answers to the question of how much danger there really was of the two worlds colliding and being smashed to oblivion.
